ATHENS — On Saturday, fans attending the Georgia Tech vs. South Carolina State game in downtown Atlanta are being urged to take refuge.
Due to the possibility of severe weather in the vicinity, kickoff at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field has been delayed many times from its original 1 p.m. scheduled time.
The game will start at 3:23 p.m. given that severe weather is no longer a concern in the area, according to officials.
Now, spectators are free to go back to their seats and enter the stadium again if they left.

Just after 1:30 p.m., teams entered the field for a 1:42 p.m. kickoff. The match had just been postponed one more moment earlier.
The stadium’s patrons were instructed to vacate their seats and seek refuge in the concourses shortly after 1:45 p.m.

They were informed that after the game began, spectators who had left the stadium would be permitted to enter again.

The Yellow Jackets’ match on Saturday will be their first of the year at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field.
